Hi There,

I am looking to become a PMP.

I wanted to know if you can tell me if I will need a bachelor's degree to be eligible for the PMP exam?

Thank you!

Good day,

According to the PMP Handbook:

"to be eligible for the PMP credential, you must meet certain educational and professional experience requirements.

1. With a secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or global equivalent)
-Minimum five years/60 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience during which at least 7,500 hours were spent leading and directing project tasks
-35 contact hours of formal education

2. Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or global equivalent)
-Minimum three years/36 months unique non-overlapping professional project
management experience during which at least 4,500 hours were spent leading and directing project tasks
-35 contact hours of formal education"

The above information as well as other important information can be found in the PMI's PMP Handbook. We encourage all people interested in becoming a PMP, review this handbook thoroughly.
